Celebrating 3 Years of Torus' Impact (April 2020 - April 2023)

Torus provided 8281 virtual one-on-one classes. In addition, from 2021 to 2023, there were 260 virtual multi-learner class visits and 890 virtual group class visits. Our in-person classes began on September 26th of 2022 and until April of 2023, we had 2,158 in-person group class visits. This accounts for a total of 11,589 class visits to all class types. We served 682 learners in all class types! There were 116 learners who have attended multiple class types! 88% of learners served have been local. Volunteers have donated 12,584+ hours

January 2021 - December 2021 Data

From January to December 2021, Torus provided 4,106 hours of one-on-one and group English classes to 230 English learners. English learners in our program come from many different language backgrounds and a total of 26 different languages were represented. Examples of the languages spoken are Spanish, Russian, Thai, Vietnamese, and Farsi. Torus volunteers have been essential in the success of this program and a total of 229 ESL Facilitators participated in 2021. Volunteers from Oregon and across the United States have been getting involved in this virtual volunteer opportunity and supporting the community here in Oregon.

In 2020, Torus provided 1,722 hours of one-on-one English classes to 107 English learners in Oregon and SW Washington. English learners in our program come from many different language backgrounds and a total of 18 different languages were represented. Examples of the languages spoken are Spanish, Farsi, Vietnamese, Japanese, Russian, and Arabic. Torus volunteers have been essential in the success of this program and a total of 93 ESL Facilitators participated in 2020. Volunteers from Oregon and across the United States have been getting involved in this virtual volunteer opportunity and supporting the community here in Oregon.
